It also works great simply as a water bottle. The key to this unique product is what's inside. It's called a BlenderBall. The BlenderBall is made from 316-grade (surgical grade) stainless steel and electropolished to remove impurities and give it a high-luster shine. The product is stylish, easy to use, easy to clean, and simply the best portable mixer on the market. Warning: Not for use with hot liquids. Hot or warm liquids (and other ingredients such as pancake batter, soda, etc.) may build up pressure within the bottle and cause flip top to open unexpectedly and spray contents. Open with caution.

Customer Reviews

Seriously works, incredible value.
Like the prior reviewer, I have tried in frustration to use the cheap, freebie mixers from supplement orders. All suffered from two problems; leaks (protein shake on your gym shirts/shorts - Arrgh.) and poor mixing of whey protein and other powders. This shaker bottle has a tight fitting screw on lid, and a securely closing pop-open top that have never leaked, not once.I thought that the stainless steel "blender ball" seemed like a gimmick but it WORKS GREAT, mixing even hard-to-mix supps like BCAAs well. Whey powder, Gatorade powder and such are a breeze. Just make sure you have an ounce or two of liquid on the bottom before adding powder and you're set.

It's no act: Scandiuzzi rejuvenates a prime Seattle theater

IN THE RAMBLING, stylishly renovated landmark building that houses ACT Theatre, a throng of Seattle actors and directors, musicians and playwrights are hard at work on every stage. In the Falls Theatre, the Bullitt Cabaret, the Allen Theatre, in rehearsal and dressing rooms, they're toiling on the latest edition of the 14/48 festival — a whirlwind event for which a fresh batch of short-short plays are written, scored, rehearsed and presented within 48 hours.

The joint is jumping, and that is just the way ACT manager Giancarlo Scandiuzzi likes it. In his modest second-story office, just above the fray, this casually dapper man of 57 is crunching numbers with his attentive staff.

Exuding a kind of zesty savoir faire you can't fake, this seasoned businessman and impassioned arts advocate is a veteran of the creative trenches. He's been an actor, a filmmaker, a rock music and indie films promoter. And it is the art of making art that stokes his desire to transform ACT into a thriving cultural nerve center.

China-made safety pins spell doom for local manufacturers in old city

Fouzia Begum, a middle-aged woman, is quite apprehensive these days. Why not, there is a strong reason for her to be. The workshop or ‘Karkhana', which outsources the job of making safety pins to her, is on the verge of closure. She earns around Rs.25-a-day by making safety pins.

“The owner attributes the China-made safety pins for low business and wants to close down the workshop,” informs the middle-aged woman. Rehana Bee, landed in a similar situation a few months ago. Luckily, she got involved in the ‘agarbatti' (incense sticks) making vocation, after the workshop that outsourced her the job, closed down abruptly.

China-made safety pins have spelled a doom for hundreds of women in the areas of Amannagar, Nawab Sahib Kunta, Shaheennagar, Jhirrah and other slum areas of the old city who lived by the jobs outsourced by local manufactures and earned paltry sums to supplement their family income.

How much water to add to a shaker?

Okay I've got a shaker. Its used to mix up my supplements after a workout. I have 32grams of whey protein, 5grams of dextros and 5grams of creatine. The question is how much water should I add to the shaker? Please help!!!

Thanks.

Fill it up. You need to rehydrate post-workout. The amounts on the container are minimums that your body needs to process the supplement. Adding more water isn't going to decrease absorption.

Do i have to mix pre-workout N.O. supplements with a spoon or can i use a shaker?

a trainer told me that mixing it in a shaker can cause the supplement to lose it nitric oxide gas...

Honestly from my experience it varies on the product/brand. For example, with NO-Xplode, you need to use a spoon, if you use a shaker it will feel like it is going to explode from all the gas trapped. If you use Bulldozer XL5000, you can use a spoon or

mixing in a closed container or shaker makes more sense because theres nowhere for the gas to escape... i mean seriousl its not rocket science to figure that out...

Yeah it does. It specifically says on the container DO NOT SHAKE. I always mix mine with a spoon.
