In non-nanoparticle form, zinc oxide is considered to be safe. Suntegrity Skincare products use zinc oxide particles that measure 220 nm which is well above what is referred to as a nanoparticle (under 100 nm).

Love the Scent and Texture!
I found this sunscreen on the EWG 2010 Sunscreen Report and thought I'd give it try since it got a 1 rating. It has a lovely tangerine citrus scent and it leaves a nice, silky feel on my skin. Best part is it's not greasy like most natural sunscreens. It starts out a little white, but soaks into my skin well after a few rubs. Finally, a natural sunscreen that doesn't leave me greasy and ghostly.

Good sunscreen
I've been buying a lot of sunscreens from the Environmental Working Group's list of recommended sunscreens ([ ... ] ), and have been having a hard time finding a good face moisturizer that I'd wear every day. This sunscreen is not as thick as most of the others and rubs in pretty well, so doesn't leave your face all ghostly white or greasy. For that reason, it's the best one I've tried. I really did want a moisturizing sunscreen, and although it seems to moisturize, it's not the type of luxurious moisturizer where you feel that your face just drinks it up. I don't think it's possible in a healthy sunscreen, so it's about as good as it's going to get, I suspect.

great product
I have extremely sensitive skin and most sunscreens make my face red, swollen, and itchy. This product doesn't irritate my skin at all, and it seems to protect me well from the sun-exposure. At first application I used way too much---so it felt greasy and the citrus scent was annoyingly strong. But when I used lesser amount the second time, the result was great. It was not greasy (so I can use my moisturizer, then this sunscreen, and then wear my usual mineral make-up); it doesn't leave white streaks, and the citrus scent goes away after a while. I don't know if the antioxidant stuff they put in this cream will help improving my skin or not; but I am very happy with an all-natural, effective, and non-greasy sunscreen for my sensitive skin.

Lynn Bednar was looking for a part-time job when she walked into the Walsh Natural Health in Evanston store a few years ago.

“I was a customer (of the store), and thought it (the part-time job) would be a great way to expose myself to the products,” she said.

With her business background and keen interest in natural remedies, buying the business was a natural progression for her.

Bednar will celebrate her seventh year as owner with a celebration Monday through Saturday. Most of the store’s products will be on sale. In addition, the store will introduce new products, offer demonstrations and offer some nutrient-packed smoothies for tasting.

All of this was not on Bednar’s radar some years ago when a doctor advised her to have surgery for lower back pain.

Skeptical that she needed such a radical solution, she turned to research and came upon natural remedies that promised relief. To combat the pain, she used Wobenzne, an enzyme product, and Arnica, a homeopathic product.

i want to transition to using all natural skincare products shuld i jus switch or use all my chemical stuf 1st?

idont no if i should just completely switch over all at one or finsh using all my drugstore items first such as my soap, deoderant what do you guys think i should do

I'm glad to hear you want to switch to using natural skin care products. Chemicals can do a lot of damage that will cause the skin to age prematurely. I definitely recommend switching over as soon as you find good skin care

I asked this question before, but I kept getting answers like "Neutrogena works wonders" or "St. Ives is sooo natural" (uh, actually, no... not even close), and even suggestions to use Proactiv (do I really have to touch on that one?

Lush products are great! They are handmade and natural. I had spotting on my face and now after about 3 weeks its pretty clear now. I use the Coalface soap once in the morning and once at night, Tea tree toner every morning, and a small bit of vanishing
